High School Memories

So this past weekend my buddy decided to theme his birthday after our high school years. Even went so far to make his own little movie of all of our old hang outs, which if I can get my hands on will be getting posted to YouTube. The night of memories and story telling really showcased how we have grown in the 8 years since our graduation. The friends that we have lost touch with and the new friends we have gained.

It ended up being a great time and I am certain that everyone had fun by the end of the night. The ironic part of the night is that in total we ended up breaking more things and creating a bigger mess in his parents basement then we ever did as ‘kids.’ Odd how in our old age we have gotten a bit more clumsy. I think it had more to do with the fact that the ‘fear’ of getting caught drinking down there was gone, which made us a little less attentive to our actions.

In two years we should be having our 10 years high school reunion. Thanks to online services like Facebook, and even Myspace as evil as it is, I have been able to reconnect with some old friends and acquaintance’s from my old stomping yard. I am surprised that some even remember me, and others I hope the memories they do have me are good ones. Though I still don’t understand that out of a graduating class of over 600, there is only 80 members of the Class of 2001 Facebook Group.
